Privacy Policy

GoMiga helps solo female travelers find a travel companion. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control of it.

Account and profile data

When you create an account and profile we store:

• Your email address and password (stored hashed).
• Profile fields: name, age, home city, bio, travel pace, budget and activities.
• Photos you upload.
• Trips: destinations, dates, wishlist and flexible-timing preferences.
• Swipes, matches and trip-planning choices you make in the app.

Other verified members can see your profile, photo and trip details in Discover and after matching.

ID and selfie verification

Government ID + selfie verification is rolling out before public launch. It will be processed by a third-party verification provider. GoMiga will receive the result (verified or not) and will not store raw images of your ID.

Miga, the in-app AI assistant

Messages you type to Miga are sent to a third-party AI model provider to generate replies. Don’t share sensitive personal information with Miga.

Chat messages

Messages you exchange with matches are stored so both of you can see the conversation. They are visible only to the two participants.

Reports and blocks

If you block someone, we store that so neither of you sees the other. Reports are reviewed by a person and kept for safety purposes, including after an account is deleted.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes your profile, photos, trips, swipes, matches and messages, and your login.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account it is removed immediately, except safety reports, which are retained for review. Backups roll off within a limited period.
